Private Yoga Classes

Samia offers classes for individuals and/or small private groups. These classes are offered in a gentle style, which means the non-strenuous practice of foundation poses in a non-competitive environment. The student is encouraged to practice turning attention inward and will be both challenged and comfortable at the same time. Gentle yoga is recommended for those who are about to start their yoga journey.

Prenatal Yoga

Yoga postures, breathing exercises, meditation and relaxation are ideal ways for women to experience their pregnancy and prepare for delivery and birth. This class is designed to prepare the body and mind for labor and delivery:  gentle and safe movements, breath awareness, guided meditation and relaxation.  Appropriate for all levels, including beginners who are trying yoga for the first time while pregnant.   Individual as well as group lessons are offered.

Ayurvedic Yoga Class

After an Ayurvedic consultation with Samia, you will have the option of taking private yoga lessons designed to pacify your dosha (imbalance in your body constitution).   These lessons utilize body postures and breathing techniques to bring your dosha back into balance.

Ayurvedic Cooking Classes

In the Ayurvedic tradition, food speaks to us through tastes and the proper combination of these tastes promotes health and well-being.  In this class, you will gain an understanding of the six tastes (sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent and astringent) and learn how to incorporate them into your daily cooking.  The combination of these tastes naturally guides us towards our body’s nutritional needs and helps us to avoid food cravings and the over-consumption of certain types of foods.
